Classical Islamic books aren’t failing modern readers, our approach to them is. When centuries-old texts speak in contexts today’s Muslims can’t relate to, people either outsource their faith to the internet, drift away, or assume Islam has nothing to say about modern life. This piece argues for translating Islamic wisdom into today’s language, examples, and realities, without altering its foundations. Not to modernise Islam, but to make its timeless guidance accessible again to a generation asking new questions in a radically different world.
