Ali Hussain is the founder of Ihsan Inkwell. He is a teacher of the traditional Islamic sciences who began his journey in 2013 with a deep study of Arabic grammar. After years of classical training immersed in the Islamic sciences, he graduated from the traditional ʿĀlimiyyah programme in 2021. He then went on to teach the sacred sciences for several years, distinguishing himself as both an author and a meticulous editor, bringing clarity, precision, and depth to Islamic works.
Beyond Islamic academia, he has founded and run multiple companies, including a successful digital marketing agency specialising in brand curation, design, and content marketing. Through this endeavour, he helped clients achieve their marketing goals and multiply their revenue streams.
Combining a background in Islamic scholarship with a strong track record in entrepreneurship, Ali brings a rare blend of Islamic intellectual depth and business acumen. His passion for modern communication and design has shaped his expertise in writing, publishing, and building innovative financial models that drive wealth generation for companies and individuals alike.
Through Ihsan Inkwell, he unites Islamic scholarship, modern design, and strong entrepreneurial insight — particularly his ability to craft innovative financial and wealth-generation models. This blend allows him to create books, courses, and learning experiences that are not only meaningful to the Ummah, but also help individuals and organisations build sustainable, value-driven growth.
Shaheera Nadeem is the Design Lead at Ihsan Inkwell, where she brings together the worlds of art, faith, and functional beauty. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, an Alimiyyah degree and a specialisation certificate in Qur'anic Exegesis.
Her journey bridges two disciplines rarely seen together — classical Islamic scholarship and modern design. With a professional background in spatial and product design, including interior design work, and years of teaching Qur’anic tafsir and Arabic grammar, she brings both aesthetic sensitivity and intellectual depth to her work.
As the founder of The Hadeya Sisters, a successful online faith-based gift store based in Pakistan, Shaheera has spent nearly a decade crafting customised, faith-centred gifts and experiences. As Design Lead at Ihsan Inkwell, she now channels that same creative ethos into the design of books and educational materials — ensuring that sacred knowledge is not only accessible, but beautifully presented and deeply felt.

Few scholars embody both depth of tradition and breadth of modern engagement like Mohammed Mahin Saiyed. Having completed the memorisation of the Qur’an at the age of twelve in Birmingham, his journey into the sacred sciences began early — and never stopped evolving.
Graduating in 2019 with a Dars-i Nizami Alimiyyah degree and specialisation certificate in Fiqh and Islamic Legal Theory, he continued his pursuit of knowledge across the Muslim world. In Egypt, he immersed himself in the classical disciplines of Hadith, Arabic rhetoric, grammar, Arabic phonetics, and Islamic theology, while also delving into the comparative jurisprudence of all the Islamic legal schools. Studying with scholars of Al-Azhar and beyond, his academic formation reflects the best of Egypt’s intellectual heritage.
His pursuit then took him to Istanbul, Turkey, where he deepened his understanding of Qur’anic Exegesis and Hadith studies under some of the most distinguished Syrian scholars of the region.
Beyond his studies, Mahin has served as an Imam in multiple UK cities — including Warrington, London, Nottingham, Cardiff, and Rotherham — while continuing to teach classical Arabic and the sacred sciences. His scholarly work has also extended into academia, contributing to research projects with the University of Manchester.
Now, as an Advisor to Ihsan Inkwell, he brings a wealth of knowledge and rigorous verification to every project. His role ensures that the works of Ihsan Inkwell remain firmly rooted in authentic Islamic scholarship, merging timeless precision with modern clarity. With his expertise, Ihsan Inkwell’s publications and courses not only meet the highest standards of design — but of authenticity.

I founded Ihsan Inkwell because I really saw something missing. The Islamic intellectual tradition — this vast heritage of ours which brought about many intellectual golden ages now gone by — carries a boundless ocean of knowledge, with many depths of that ocean still undiscovered.
Muslims were once renowned for their design philosophies, producing the most beautiful buildings, carpets, calligraphy, and manuscripts in the world. Meticulous patterns and colours working in harmony, leaving onlookers in awe of the symphony of geometry, shades and meaning hidden within. At Ihsan Inkwell, we’re bringing that same brilliance back — upgrading how knowledge is read, learned, and remembered.
We now live in a world of colour — on our screens, in our feeds, in every moment that captures our attention. Yet our books — the very vessels of our age-old knowledge — remain bereft of the beauty we were once known for. Their content nourishes the mind and soul, yet their form lags far behind. We’ve forgotten how to use design and colour to enhance understanding — to make learning visual, memorable, and alive.
Ihsan Inkwell’s books are built for how we learn today — with colour-coded systems, structured layouts, and intelligent design that make even the most complex subjects clear and accessible.
Each page is crafted for comprehension.
Every illustration draws you deeper into the text.
Every visual choice helps the reader's mind connect with the book's content and helps their heart remember.
Islamic civilisation once led the world in both thought and presentation — back when we considered beauty an act of worship to God. It’s time to bring that spirit back. That’s why I founded Ihsan Inkwell: to unite excellence in content with excellence in form, and to revive our tradition with the clarity, elegance and Ihsan it deserves.
